Biography: Dr. Selahattin Tulunay began to study medicine in Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1974 – 1975 academic year. In 1981, he was graduated with the title of Medical Doctor, and began to serve as an assistant in Istanbul University Cerrahpasha Faculty of Medicine, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1982. After being a specialist on November 1987, Op. Dr. Selahattin Tulunay began to do his military service in Ankara GATA (Gulhane Military Medical Academy) in 1988. Dr. Selahattin Tulunay completed his military service in Ankara GATA Burn Center (a real burn center in all aspects) that he considered to be the second place where he received education as an assistant. In late 1988, he began to serve as an educator in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic of Sisli Etfal Hospital, in his capacity of chief assistant. After continuing his studies in some private hospitals and serving as a chief physician in a private hospital for a period of 7 years, Dr. TULUNAY was promoted as the Consultant of BAHAT SAGLIK GRUBU (Bahat Healthcare Group) and as the director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery department of 4 hospitals owned by this group, in February 2006. In June 2011, he was appointed to serve at the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department in Camlica the Universal Hospital of Universal Hospital Group (UHG), where he continued to practise his profession. From 2012, he became the head of his own clinic that has been dedicated to serve in the field of plastic surgery for many years. He was awarded the first prize in the contest 'THE BEST PLASTIC SURGEON OF THE YEAR' held in 2012. He is currently continuing his studies and research at the same clinic. He was awarded the FIRST PRIZE in the contest 'THE BEST HAIR TRANSPLANT SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR' held in 2014. Dr. Selahattin Tulunay, who speaks English as a second language, has various domestic and international publications.
