About Airedale General Hospital
NHS and non NHS general medical services of a high standard are provided at this primary healthcare clinic located at Keighley in West Yorkshire. Home visits are arranged for bed bound and home bound patients. Repeat prescriptions are provided under the supervision of doctors and when requested by patients in writing or email. Services include general health examinations for men, women and child patients, child and adult immunizations and travel vaccines, the management and monitoring of chronic health conditions like asthma and diabetes, family planning assistance, minor surgical procedures and non NHS health examinations and certifications

What my department doesn’t do: we don’t provide a GP Service to any staff. My areas of interest: Sickness absence assessments, workplace assessments and adjustments, pre-employment assessment, assessment for ill health retirement, health surveillance at work, immunisations for work, health promotion, medical aspects of accident investigation. My academic background: Worked in occupational medicine since 1991 both in industry and the Health Service. Biography: Speciality: Rehabilitation Medicine What my department does: In patient multidisciplinary rehabilitation for neurological conditions such as stroke, subarachnoid haemorrhage and acquired brain injury. Outpatient consults for symptom management in long term neurological conditions including pain, spasticity (including bot***num toxin injections), cognitive problems, fatigue, vocational issues. What my department doesn’t do: Elderly care. My areas of interest: Spasticity management including bot***num toxin injections, long term neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury including minor head injuries and multiple sclerosis.
