Dr. Konstantinos Anastassakis MD is a board-certified Head & Neck Surgeon since 2009. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace in Greece in 2010.  

He received an extensive training in Medical Hair Restoration amongst some of the most prestigious clinics and surgeons in New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. In 2010 he launched his first practice office exclusively dedicated in Hair Restoration, Anastasakis Hair Clinic. In 2017 he relocates his Hair Transplant Clinic in Chalandri (Athens,Greece) and at the end of 2020 he presents a second Hair Transplant Clinic in Glyfada (Athens, Greece). Since the beginning of his career as a hair restoration surgeon until today, Dr. Anastasakis performs himself all hair transplant surgeries in his clinic, always leading his 3 surgical teams aiming for the best result for each patient. He personally operates and supervises in all surgeries while, for more than ten years, he has consulted and guided thousands of hair loss patients.

Dr. Anastasakis dedicated all his skills and activities to the recognition of good practices in the field of surgical hair restoration. The correct information and the overall improvement of the experience in the service of the patients but also the evolution of the knowledge and the specialization for the doctors of the field is the way he has chosen to offer his knowledge and the specialization. 

He is one of the 220 Diplomates of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) worldwide and has been awarded the experience route accreditation after written and oral exams in 2015. He has been successively elected treasurer, secretary, and Vice President to the Board of Governors of the ABHRS from 2017 to 2021. Since 2017, he has been one of the examiners in the ABHRS annual written and oral exams. 

He is also a Fellow Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), participating each year in the Annual World Congress of the ISHRS, often as a presenter or other. 

He is a founding member and President of the Hellenic Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery (ELAMAT- HAHRS), which is the national / local branch of ISHRS. ELAMAT is a non-profit company with founding members doctors of different specialties who are actively involved in Hair Restoration. It is the Global Council Member of the ISHRS, abiding to the principles, purposes, rules, and guidelines of ISHRS and ABHRS. 

Dr. Anastasakis is the author of the medical textbook "Androgenetic Alopecia from A to Z" (2 reprints in Greek) consisting of 10 parts, 139 chapters, 900 pages and more than 7500 literature citations. 

The world’s largest science publishing house Springer, undertook in 2022-2023 the publication of the updated textbook in English, which consists of 3 related volumes, each with a specific focus (with intertwined contents), due to the huge amount of relevant, useful information and the vast number of figures, tables, graphs, and clinical photos. 

The updated English version runs at over 1,800 pages, citing more than 10,000 literature references on everything that has ever been published on Androgenetic Alopecia.
