Biography: Chiropractic Education My five year Chiropractic degree was taken at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. I graduated in 1995 and as part of my fieldwork residency time worked at the University Hospital (Dept. of Orthopaedics) in Saskatoon, Canada. Chiropractic studies included in-depth focus on Anatomy, Physiology, Radiology, Neurology, Orthopaedics along with Chiropractic technique and philosophy. There are many similarities to a medical degree although Pharmacology (study of drugs and their effects) is substituted for learning about how to assist the body functionally without medication. My studies and fieldwork allowed me to gain experience across the broad spectrum of Chiropractic and this helped determine where I fit in terms of practice. The best doctor is you! At Back to Health Wellness Centre At Back to Health we focus on the spine and how it effects your nervous system, how you feel and its relationship with your overall health. We use Chiropractic to restore the function and to educate so that you can better understand your body to live a healthier life. To support a balanced lifestyle we provide a full range of therapies that include Sports Massage Therapy and Pilates Instruction. High quality nutritional support products are also available. Respecting the role that good medical care provides when necessary we also work with GP’s and consultants to provide an integrated approach.
Ms Kirstie Cousins

Biography: British School of Osteopathy having previously worked for many years as a Sports and Remedial Massage therapist. She trained in Massage at the London College of Massage in 2001 and London School of Sports Massage. Kirstie has worked with many athletes, both amateur and professional, and has particular experience of working with triathletes, runners, cyclists and rugby players. She has also worked with the GB Duathlon team. She is a Senior Lecturer and Tutor at the North London School of Sports Massage. Osteopathy can be used to help with a wide range of conditions. It is best known for treating back and neck pain and associated conditions such as nerve impingements, but is also effective in treating other conditions including headaches, arthritis, sports and other injuries and can be useful in alleviating musculoskeletal discomfort during pregnancy and preparing the body for birth.

Biography: Originally from South Africa, Kim has been following the philosophy of wellness and salutogenesis (the origins of health) through her studies in art therapy and is enjoying marrying this with chiropractic! Kim looks forward to continuing to meet all the Back to Health practice members and supporting them on their journey to achieving and sustaining their health goals.
