Biography: Consultant in Gynaecology, Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. He holds an NHS consultant position at the Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals, one of London’s premier teaching hospitals. He has a private practice at both the Hammersmith Hospital, 92 Harley Street and Boston Place Clinic, Marylebone. He is the director of IVF Hammersmith, one of the United Kingdom’s largest IVF Units with an international reputation as a centre of excellence for assisted conception. He is also the HFEA ‘Person Responsible’ for IVF Hammersmith.

Biography: Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at the Hammersmith Hospital and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, London. He was appointed as a consultant at the Hammersmith Hospital in 1995. He qualified at St George’s Hospital, London in 1984 and started his Reproductive Medicine training at Guy’s Hospital in 1989. He then went to be the lecturer at the Royal London Hospital until 1993 and completed his Sub specialty training in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at the Hammersmith Hospital in 1994 leading up to his appointment as consultant there in 1995.

Biography: Dr Carby, Clinical Lead for Boston Place Clinic, joins us after 10 years working at IVF Hammersmith as Fertility Specialist with responsibility for the day to day clinical management of the Unit and Quality Manager. In her new role she will assume the position of Person Responsible to the HFEA in addition to being Quality Manager for the clinic. Dr Carby has a specific interest in fertility preservation, recurrent implantation failure, prevention of hyperstimulation in polycystic ovary patients and Rokitansky syndrome. She is skilled in both difficult egg collections and transfers and offers transvaginal scanning and transmyometrial techniques for transfer.
