Biography: He qualified from Bristol University in 1975 and established Bridgeways in 1982 as a family orientated general practice. In 1990 the practice was the first in Totton to offer private only care and Richard’s area of particular interest was holistic dentistry (how the teeth and jaws affect and interrelate with the body as a whole). As a result of his interests in oral medicine and toxicology, the practice became “mercury free” in 1996 and continues to be so. GDC No. 49231

Dr Patrick Coffey

Biography: GDC No. 74438 He qualified from the University of Leeds in 1998 and has completed various postgraduate programmes including an 18 month Implantology Certificate course at University College London and a one year Cosmetic Dentistry course based In Harley Street. In 2013 Patrick completed a further four year Diploma in Surgical Implantology and Prosthodontics based at University College London. To date Patrick has placed over 300 implants with a 99.5% success rate.

Ms Michelle Soffe

Biography: She joined Bridgeways in 2003, since when has dedicated herself to the role of of receptionist, sometimes being helped out on some days by our Dental Nurses. As such the receptionist is the face and voice of the practice. Michelle also took over the equally important role of cleaner in 2013 and so in turn is responsible for keeping the practice spick and span.
