Biography: Dr. Liu was born and raised in Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia where he was awarded multiple scholarships. He studied Pharmacology and Therapeutics for three years and conducted neuro-scientific research until his early acceptance into the dental program. He began practicing at BSDC upon graduating from dentistry in 1995. A dedicated professional who believes in giving back to the community, he has been a clinical instructor for the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC from 1998 to 2000 and has volunteered at a community dental health centre as both an administrator and a supervisor from 1993 – 2002.

Biography: Dr. Roseanne Walpole grew up on Vancouver Island and studied Biology and Psychology at the University of Victoria prior to making the move to Vancouver and taking her final ferry ride across the Georgia Strait.After realizing research was not where her passion lay, she looked for a future in an area that allowed her to interact directly with people as well as see the physical results of her work. She ultimately found her niche in the field of dentistry and hasn’t looked back since. She completed her DMD degree at the University of British Columbia in 2007. Dr. Walpole has been practicing general dentistry with Broadway Station Dental Centre since her graduating year.Dr. Walpole enjoys all aspects of dentistry but finds it most rewarding helping people overcome their dental fears. She has been known to have patients fall asleep in her chair on their second visit after coming in anxious on their first. She has completed numerous continuing education courses in varied areas including Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Walpole is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the BC Dental Association and the College of Dental Surgeons of BC.
Dr Trevor Shew

Biography: Dr. Shew joined Broadway Station Dental Centre in June 2002. After publishing six papers in scientific journals; he was on his way to receiving a Ph. D. and becoming a professor in Pharmacology and Therapeutics. He then realized that research was not for him because he had little interaction with people. He combined his desire to work with people and his love for working with his hands and decided to pursue a career in dentistry.Dr. Shew believes in education, patient-based dentistry and a multi-disciplinary approach to dentistry. He believes in talking to and getting to know his patients. He enjoys educating people and asks his patients to take an active role in managing their dental health and treatment decisions.Dr. Shew believes it is important to explore the many aspects available in Modern Dentistry: esthetics, crown and bridge, endodontic therapy, orthodontics, periodontal therapy and implant dentistry in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan in restoring one’s oral health.
