About Canberra Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Dr Taylor aims to provide the Canberra community with excellence in medical care, and to this purpose has established one of the most comprehensive Plastic Surgery Clinics in Australia. CAPS now provides excellence in Cosmetic Surgery, our own licensed and accredited Private Hospital, comprehensive non-surgical rejuvenation services and a dedicated skin cancer unit.
Dr Taylor employs fully qualified Dermal Clinicians to provide all his non-surgical rejuvenation treatments. Patients can be confident they will receive a detailed analysis followed by safe and cost effective treatments. Services provided include, medical grade skin care, makeup, chemical peels, laser and light therapies.

Biography: Dr Alastair Taylor is the director of My Genesis. Dr Taylor is a highly qualified, accredited plastic surgeon with many years experience in all areas of reconstructive, cosmetic and microsurgery. In his continued pursuit to provide outstanding commitment to his patients, and after years of research, Dr Taylor is also proud to have pioneered and deliver a program designed to layer and sequence non-surgical rejuvenation treatments.He has a well established practice in Canberra at the purpose built Canberra Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery (CAPS) Clinic. Dr Taylor works only in Canberra which ensures his availability to his patients pre and post operatively, and to those patients being treated with non-surgical modalities.Dr Taylor is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and a Member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Trained in the major teaching hospitals of Sydney, Dr Taylor maintains cutting edge surgical techniques through regular involvement at international surgical meetings.

Biography: Cheryl Taylor is the CEO of The CAPS Clinic. Together with Dr Taylor, Cheryl has helped establish and build CAPS into one of Canberra’s leading medical facilities. Cheryl’s commitment to client service, team building, branding and management, have ensured the success of the business and has seen it grow to one of the largest service provision in the plastic surgery community.

Biography: Dr Arne Schimmelfeder is the Director of Anaesthetics at The CAPS Clinic. Dr Schimmelfeder studied medicine at the University of Sydney and undertook seven years of specialty training in anaesthesia in Sydney, Canberra and finally Germany. All of Dr Taylor’s plastic surgery procedures undertaken are performed under the full care of a Specialist Anaesthetist such as Dr Schimmelfeder. After a long professional association, Dr Schimmelfeder joined Dr Taylor’s surgical team in 1998. He has an established practice in Canberra providing anaesthesia for all fields of surgery at Canberra’s hospitals. The anaesthetist is an integral part of the surgical service being provided by Dr Taylor and shares his commitment to provide professional and supportive care to the patient.
