About Cheriton Dental Practice
This dental practice is the only dental practice in Dorset to have won the British Dental Association’s Good Practice Award and the Investors in People accreditation. A treatment plan and estimation of the costs is given to patients before treatment begins. The practice is located in Christchurch, Dorset and is operated by Peter Merritt and his team. Services provided at the clinic include, cosmetic dentistry, smile designs, tooth coloured fillings, dentures, implants and gum disease treatments. The dentists are adept at performing the simplest to the most complicated dental procedures.

Biography: He qualified from the Royal Dental Hospital London in 1979 and have been in practice for many years - both in the UK and the West Indies. My special interest is in treating people with problematic jaw joints and very worn teeth. I have completed advance training in the area both in the UK and the USA.I am a member of the British Society Occlusal Studies and the American Equilibration Society. I regularly attend postgraduate meetings on this subject both in the UK and USA. BDS

Biography: He returned to England in 1989 having lived and worked in the West Indies. Peter and I set up Cheriton Dental Practice, which has changed over time to become a large modern practice with great staff.Nobody likes visiting the dentist and I try to base my treatment around this. I try to make visits as positive as possible and aim to minimise any discomfort, which is unavoidable. BDS
