About Cheshire Physiotherapy Centre
We are a friendly Physiotherapy centre specialising in sports injuries, spinal pain, joints & muscles, pre & post-natal located in Altrincham in Cheshire.
Our experienced, specialist team of Physios use a range of traditional & advanced physiotherapy procedures and pain management treatments, provided at the clinic, such as Shockwave therapy.
The clinic also provides ultrasound scanning, administration of steroid injections, podiatry and acupuncture. Traditional physiotherapy treatments at the clinic include manipulation and mobilisation of joints, exercise prescriptions and electrotherapy.

Biography: Christine Mallion MCSP HPC The Clinic Director has been practicing physiotherapy since 1976 and has years of experience in musculo-skeletal problems. Having spent years working in Canada, she has worked in the NHS and been full time in private practice since 1990. She has lectured extensively in the UK and abroad to both GP’s and physiotherapists on Orthopaedic Medicine. She is former chairman of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Orthopaedic Medicine (ACPOM) and was involved with the first courses teaching physiotherapists steroid injections along with the development of Clinical Guidelines for Injection Therapy. She is a member of MCSP, OCPPP, ACPSM, ACPOM The past 3 years she has undertaken training in Ultrasound scanning in order to develop her diagnostic skills and to use US as a biofeedback tool to help patients learn better motor control. She is a keen golfer (although her enthusiasm is greater than her golfing ability) and enjoys walking and travelling.

Biography: Anne Shortt MCSP HPC Anne qualified from the University of Ulster in Belfast in 1997 and has worked in the private sector in England where she has undertaken postgraduate training in musculo-skeletal treatments. She specialises inn the treatment of all-sporting injuries and musculo-skeletal/orthopaedic conditions. She is a keen golfer and has helped develop the golf-screening programme at the clinic. Biography: Lee Herrington MSc MCSP SRP CSCS Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, Cheshire Physiotherapy Centre; Lecturer in Sports Rehabilitation, University of Salford; Visiting Lecturer in Sports Physiotherapy, Manchester Metropolitan University and Prince Faisal Sports Medicine Hospital, Riyhad, Saudi Arabia. Certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (USA) as strength and conditioning specialist and by the Cincinnati Sports Medicine Research and Education foundations as a Sportsmetrics™ trainer. He has worked with elite sportspersons for the last twelve years including time with Great Britain Rugby League and Wigan Warriors Rugby League Club. Also, consultative work for a number of professional football clubs and individual elite level sportspersons from a multitude of sports including athletics, swimming, triathlon, sailing, boxing and martial arts.
