It has its origins in the early '80s. Since then Dr Castilla has been incorporating the latest technical advances, both in the diagnostic field and in therapeutic procedures but mainly surgical.

The philosophy of the team consists of the personalised treatment of the patient, where each ocular problem is thoroughly studied and analysed under the supervision and direct attention of Dr Castilla.

The care activity of Dr Castilla includes mainly Cataract Surgery, Laser Refractive Surgery and Intraocular Lenses (myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism), Presbyopia Surgery or tired eyesight (multifocal intraocular lenses), Corneal Surgery (cornea transplant, rings for keratoconus), Glaucoma Surgery (laser, trabeculectomy, valvular implant).

In his 25 years of experience as an eye surgeon, Dr Castilla and his team have performed more than 30,000 surgical procedures. He has directed the training of several generations of doctors and specialists since his tenure as Professor of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
