Born in Osmaniye in 1954, he completed his early education in Eskişehir before earning his medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1978. He continued his training with an internship in Hematology at Cologne University Medical Faculty in Germany in 1976, and later completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Ankara University.Throughout his career, he has contributed significantly to both the medical and academic communities, holding key leadership positions including Chief of Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital (1999-2010) and General Medical Director of the American Hospitals Group in Albania (2010-2011).Dr. Günel is actively involved in numerous national and international medical associations, including the Turkish Orthopedic and Traumatology Association (TOTBID), Turkish Sports Injuries Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Association, and the Society of Foot and Ankle Surgery. His expertise in oncology has made him a leading figure in cancer treatment and research.Prof. Coşkun has also spent a significant period in the United States, where he conducted advanced research in cancer immunotherapy and vaccine therapies for cancer patients. His groundbreaking work in these areas has further strengthened his position as an expert in cutting-edge cancer treatments.
