Biography: the founder and one of the leading smile designers at Dental GPS. As a member of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec [Order of Dentists of Quebec], Dr. Alain Méthot acquired his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Montreal and a Master’s of Science (for the treatment of the masticatory system) at Danau University in Austria. Dr. Alain Méthot has demonstrated a keen interest in cosmetic and rehabilitation dentistry. He is a strong supporter of continuing education. He graduated from the L.D. Pankey Institute, the Las Vegas Institute and the International Dental Institute in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He is a founding member of the Canadian Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as a respected researcher. He has developed the M Ruler, the only diagnostic device in cosmetic dentistry for smile designing. It is a leading-edge digital guidance and diagnosis device in aesthetic interventions. The inventive M Ruler directs the smile makeover diagnosis through the use of simulation.
