Biography: Dr Paul Jose MS, MRCS, MD (USA), FRCS (Edin) graduated from the reputed St. Johns Medical College in Bangalore, India and completed his post graduation in general surgery at KMC, Mangalore. He pursued further training in UK and obtained his MRCS and FRCS degrees. He has also undergone surgical training in the Unites States with surgical residency at St. Agnes, Baltimore, Maryland. He is the only surgeon in Kerala to have undergone a Fellowship Council (USA) accredited fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) and Bariatric Surgery at the prestigious University of Iowa, Iowa city, USA. While doing the fellowship, he won the award for the best fellowship research on Obstructive Sleep Apnoea in bariatric patients. He has also undergone an Upper GastroIntestinal Oncosurgery Fellowship at the renowned St James's University Hospital, Leeds, UK. He has published numerous articles on Bariatric Surgery and Oesophageal cancers in peer reviewed medical journals. Dr Paul started the department of Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at Lourdes Hospital, Kochi, Kerala, India. He resides in Kochi.

Biography: Dr Chacko Cyriac completed his MCh in Plastic Surgery from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute (PGI), Chandigarh, India. He then went on to get further formal training and qualifications in the various subspecialties of Plastic Surgery, namely Paediatric Plastic Surgery, Hand Surgery, Reconstructive Microsurgery, Cosmetic Surgery and Hair Transplantation from UK, USA, Canada and Singapore. Coming back to India after his two year stint abroad, he joined the Lourdes Hospital, Kerala, India, a 650 bedded multispeciality tertiary care centre, as the Consultant and Head of Plastic Surgery. He began the Lourdes Institute of Plastic Surgery (L.I.P.S), based in the same hospital and has performed more than 4000 procedures single handedly in the past 6 years. Dr Cyriac is also an accredited Surgeon with Operation Smile, a leading medical charity mission based in Virginia, USA.
