ABOUT DR. AMAR
He is the first surgeon from twin states (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh) to successfully complete two year National Board Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery - FNB (Minimal Access Surgery). To achieve this super speciality degree, he received structured training in laparoscopic, metabolic and bariatric surgeries.
He is a member of Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society of India – OSSI, International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders - IFSO and a fellow of Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India – FMAS.
He studied MBBS and MS (General Surgery) at Kurnool Medical College. He is also a member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh - MRCSEd since 2005. He is a Diplomate of National Board since 2006.
He has keen interest in medical research and published several articles in national and international journals. He is an invited faculty for several national and international conferences and presented several papers in these conferences.
He regularly conducts continuing medical education programs for doctors, awareness programs and support group programs to educate general public about metabolic, bariatric and advanced laparoscopic surgeries.

General Hospital, Kurnool from Jul 1998 to Jun 1999. I was awarded MBBS degree in Aug 1999. I achieved gold medal in Anatomy. MS (General Surgery) I studied MS (General Surgery) from Kurnool Medical College from Dec 2000 to Dec 2003. I am the best out going student of the post graduate course in general surgery. I was awarded the degree in Jan 2004. MRCSEd I am a Member of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK since Jun 2005. This degree is awarded by Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh who pass UK standard exams of after training in general surgery. MD This degree is awarded by Education Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), USA after clearing USMLE exams. DNB (General Surgery) I was awarded this degree by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in Feb 2006. Degrees awarded by National Board of Examinations are prestigious degrees recognized by several countries.
