Biography: Dr Cem Baysal is an oral surgeon who started his academic career with his studies in dental treatment. After graduation, he got his doctor’s degree in oral diagnosis and radiology. He conducted in-depth research that lasted three years in the Microbiology Department of Istanbul University. Dr Baysal is the first scientist ever to discover microbiological aetiology in recurrent aphthous ulcerations. Dr Baysal has conducted surgical procedures in other branches of dentistry at Gulhane Military Medicine Academy. Following his professional achievements from ten years of educational programs, he continued his professional development in implants and other surgical procedures. Dr Baysal also has a Master’s Degree in Oral Surgery and Implantology from Guglielmo Marconi University. Today he continues his work as a professor in Rome at Marconi University and as the Head of the Radiology Department at Istanbul Kent University.
