Biography: She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1988. She was a member of the Canadian Military being employed as a Dental Officer in a variety of provinces. While being posted in Ottawa, she began her dental practice at the St. Laurent Dental Centre so that upon her completion of her military duty in 1996, she was able to devote her time to her full time practice. She is a proud mother of two daughters. She and her husband are involved with their daughters' activities but they also are able to enjoy running. Figure skating is also Dr. Matheson's passion as a sport and she has been competing, training, or teaching since she was very young. Dentistry has been and continues to be an exciting field so with that, she enjoys participating in continuing education with regards to new technologies and new techniques. The motivation is that she can provide a variety of treatment modalities to patients that want to achieve or maintain their smiles and dental health.
