Biography: Dr. Ronald Levine is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He has been a fellow of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons in Plastic Surgery since 1984. Upon graduation, he completed a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, and is currently Chief of Plastic Surgery at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Toronto. For the past fifteen years he has been Program Director of the postgraduate residency program in Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto. He has received numerous awards in Plastic Surgery, both in Canada and the United States. He has published extensively on Cosmetic Surgery.and presents regularly at national and international meetings.   Dr. Levine has a large cosmetic surgery practice in Toronto. All clients receive a personal consultation with Dr. Levine. As Dr. Levine is specialized in all the current techniques, he is able to discuss various treatment options and recommend the most appropriate procedure for the client’s specific problem. He will help his clients make a safe and informed decision about their plastic surgery. His goal is to ensure that their expectations are realistic and achievable, and his aim is to provide the finest care and the most natural result. The surgery can be performed either in a private clinic that specializes in cosmetic procedures or in a hospital setting at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.   Dr. Levine understands that it can be difficult to select a plastic surgeon. With so much information on the Internet, it can be overwhelming at times. First and foremost, Dr. Levine believes that the surgeon should be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. This ensures that the surgeon has had appropriate training to perform the surgery. Dr. Levine also believes that a plastic surgeon should not be selected based on his or her website, or the pictures that are posted on that site. Referral by a friend, a relative, or a family physician is a good way to start the selection process. Dr. Levine is Board Certified and has vast experience in all aspects of cosmetic surgery. He does not advertise widely and the majority of his patients are referred by former clients. The most important part of choosing your plastic surgeon is to come in for an in-depth personal consultation. You should ask the pertinent questions and also ask to speak to other clients who have had the same procedure that you are considering. Dr. Levine’s office can arrange for you to meet other clients.
