Laparoscopic and Weight loss SurgeonSharad Sharma after passing his MS in 1994 started his career as a lecturer in MGM Medical College, Navi umbai.
He went on to become an associate professor, graduate and post graduate teacher in the same institution. In 2003 he obtained his Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery at Gem Hospital, Coimbatore (endorsed by the Society for American Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons, SAGES) under Dr C Palanivelu. In 2006 he obtained training in D2 gastrectomy at NUH, Singapore. In 2007 he was awarded Fellowship (FIAGES) by Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons. In 2008 he was awarded Fellowsihp in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS) by the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India. In 2009 Dr Sharma trained in Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery under Dr Philip Schauer at The Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA.
He is the founder Surgeon of the Department of Minimal Access Surgery at the Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi.
He keeps himself abreast with the newer techniques & technologies and actively contributes in various national & international conferences.

Biography: EDUCATIONHe completed his medical graduation (MBBS) from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, Nagpur in 1990. He obtained his Masters Degree in General Surgery from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, Nagpur 1994. He joined the Department of minimal access surgery at the MGM, New Bombay Hospital, Vashi in 1998 and learnt basic laparoscopy at the Gem Endosurgery Hospital, National Training and Research Institute, Gem Hospital, India (P) Ltd., Coimbatore, India he obtained the Diploma in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery 2003. He Obtained the Fellowship in Bariatrc & Metabolic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, US under the guidance of Dr Phil Schauer in 2009Dr Sharad Sharma is a General Surgeon who has extensive experience in gastrointestinal and advanced laparoscopic surgery . He has been practicing in Navi Mumbai as a teacher and then as a consultant surgeon since 1994.
