Biography: MBBS from Medical College, Calcutta which is the oldest medical college in Asia and one of the premier medical institutions in India. He then was involved in research in molecular biology first in the University of Houston, USA and then in the University of Bristol, UK. He came back to India and then enrolled in his MS (General Surgery) again from Medical College, Kolkata. He then went on to do his MCh in Plastic Surgery from the Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, Kolkata and then went to Johns Hopkins University, USA for an AOCMF Fellowship.
