She has more than a decade of experience in Ophthalmology apart from exhaustive training and a vast number of research publications to her credit.

Biography: MS (Opth. Gold Medalist, Delhi University) DNB, MNAMS, FICO (Harvard, USA) Fellow Cornea and Refractive Surgery (LVPEI, Best Fellow) MBA (Stanford, USA). She is an internationally trained Cornea, Cataract and a Refractive surgeon. Besides being a renowned Cornea Surgeon, she has the rare blend of business management training as well. As an ophthalmologist, she has worked and spent time at prestigious institutes like L.V.Prasad Eye Institute and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard, USA. She has done her post-graduation in Ophthalmology from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University, India and was awarded the University Gold Medal for the best student. She has specialized in Cornea and Anterior Segment at L. V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad and won the Best Fellow award. She also did another advanced Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship from the MEEI, Harvard medical school, USA. She held the chair of Academic Dean and Head of the Department of Cornea and Refractive Surgery at Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital Pvt Ltd, Mumbai from 2006-2009. She was also a visiting faculty at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, Los Angeles and Al-Reefy Eye Hospital, Bahrain. A clinician and academician par excellence, she has more than 40 publications in peer reviewed scientific journals. She is also the reviewer of Journal Ophthalmology and Indian Journal of Ophthalmology. She has been invited as a speaker at National and International conferences. After working as a super specialty Ophthalmologist for a few years, she did a full time MBA from Stanford Business School to pursue her entrepreneurial ambitions. During her time at Stanford she was elected as the president of the Health care club and organizing secretary for the annual health care conference. Working closely with Stanford School of Bio-Design, she co-founded a medical device company called Clear Ear Inc which is currently a successful start-up in California.
