Biography: Essential Care Dental is the Graceville-based surgery of principal dentists Dr William Pham and Dr Nikhil Morriswala. The partnership arose out of a shared vision to establish relationships with patients which contribute to improved dental health for people living in the western suburbs of Brisbane.The dentists met while studying at The University of Queensland (UQ) and became firm friends. They demonstrated excellent clinical ability and were motivated to achieve excellent academic results. They still have links to the academic community and gain great personal and professional satisfaction by encouraging the development of new dentists. Both William and Nikhil are UQ academic staff members and supervisors for undergraduate dental students.When not studying at university, they socialised in the same circles and soon discovered they had the same philosophy in dentistry as life. They shared a desire to improve the world of dentistry and to embrace the world enthusiastically. As travelling partners they have visited Japan, Tasmania, Melbourne and Hamilton Island; as business partners they have established Essential Care Dental.After working for Queensland Health as well in private practice, both William and Nikhil have gained extensive experience in performing all areas of general and preventative dentistry as well as emergency, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Their contact with a wide range of patients has helped them learn what people want from their dental experience. Comparing notes about their clinical experiences, formulated in their minds the type of practice they would operate together.
