Biography: I qualified from Guy's Dental Hospital in 1983 and have worked extensively in General Practice before settling in Bromley in 1989. In 1990, I bought the practice in Hayes and over the past twenty years I have extended and modernised the premises to establish Hayes Dental Surgery as the modern, caring practice it is today. I am interested in all aspects of dentistry and committed to continued post-graduate education. I have recently finished qualifications on Facial Rejuvenation and fitting of Inman Aligners (adult brace work). I have been a member of the Bromley & Beckenham Local Dental Committee for 23 years and have been acting Treasurer for 5 years. I have been privileged to have worked at Hayes for nearly 25 years. My patients are wonderful and are more like friends and I am now seeing 3 generations of the same family. I have always enjoyed the patient contact and aim to provide excellent dental care in the friendliest way possible. I have an amazing team of people to work with at Hayes and they are my greatest asset. The team are professional, caring and kind to all our patients and have been chosen for their skills but mainly for the warmth and kindness that they treat our patients with. In my free time I enjoy dog walking, gardening, cooking, travelling and spending time catching up with my family.

Biography: Iain studied at Guys Hospital Dental School, graduating in Dentistry in 2000. During his studies he also gained a BSc in Psychology, which included a dissertation on the causes and treatment of Dental Phobia. Iain joined Hayes Dental Surgery in May 2003 and since graduation Iain has undertaken a number of postgraduate courses, including completing the core curriculum at the prestigious Dawson Institute in Tampa, Florida. The Dawson Institute focuses on the interaction between the jaw joint, the teeth and the muscles of the head and neck. This has enabled Iain to successfully plan and carry out complex full mouth treatment plans, and also alleviate symptoms of jaw joint problems, such as the clenching or grinding of teeth and related headaches. Outside of work Iain is a keen runner, and has completed a number of half marathons around the UK. Iain lives in South East London with his wife Sarah and their two young daughters Emily and Charlotte.

Biography: Sumiaya qualified in 1996 from King's College London and joined Hayes Dental Surgery in 2010. Sumiaya has worked continuously both as an associate in general dental practice and for the Special Care Hospital Dental Services in Bromley. She attained the Diploma in Conscious Sedation for Dentistry in 2007 and has worked in Guy's Dental Hospital treating anxious and special needs patients. Sumiaya can offer intravenous sedation to anxious and dental phobic patients in private practice and in the hospital environment. Sumiaya has a keen interest in all aspects of restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She has completed courses in advanced restorative dentistry and tooth whitening. Her vast experience in both private dentistry and within the hospital setting has given her the skills to provide high standards of dentistry whilst being empathic towards patients and addressing their individual needs in the most conservative way possible. This is reflected in successful treatment outcomes and a growing list of patients that have been recommended to her. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys travelling to faraway places and being a typical girl, shopping till she drop!
