Biography: Associate Professor Burçin Batman studied medicine at Fırat University Faculty of Medicine; He completed his specialty education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). Afterwards, he completed his compulsory service at Muş Bulanık State Hospital and started to work full-time at Liv Hospital Ulus Hospital.During this period, he received Robotic Surgery Training (IRCAD, Strasbourg, France), Intraoperative Radiotherapy (IORT) Training (Royal Free Hospital Target Academy, International Training Course on Targeted Intraoperative Radiotherapy, London). He has mainly worked in the field of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery (Stomach sleeve surgery, Endoscopic gastric balloon application, metabolic surgeries) and has been found in over 1000 cases in 6 years. In addition, he has worked in the fields of Colorectal Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, Laparoscopic inguinal and umbilical hernias, Anal region diseases (Laser hemorrhoid treatment, Doppler assisted hemorrhoidopexy) and has performed many successful surgeries.He was one of the first faculty members of the General Surgery Department of Istinye University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Burçin Batman has given theoretical and practical lectures to medical students at this faculty until 2020. During this time, he received the title of "Associate Professor".
