Biography: Mr Jeyaram Srinivasan (JS) is a NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the U.K. Right from medical school he decided to pursue a surgical career. His initial training was leading towards surgical gastroenterology. Along the way he came across the specialty of Plastic surgery and was fascinated immediately. The attention to detail, the variety of procedures and the satisfaction of the reconstructive procedures provided by Plastic surgery resonated with his own personality. Although close to taking up a job as a Consultant General Surgeon in 1992, he decided to start his career in Plastic surgery. His basic medical and surgical training was done in India. The inspiration and initial training in Plastic surgery started in India in 1992.
