Biography: Jan Stanek is considered to be one of the leading surgeons in his field. He graduated from Medical School at Oxford University in 1975 and spent two and half years in private practice working as an assistant to a consultant plastic surgeon. Subsequently, he worked for several cosmetic surgery clinics, gradually building up his own private practice in London, today known as Surgical Aesthetics. The vast majority of Surgical Aesthetics clients are via personal recommendation or GP referrals. During the last 20 years Jan has operated on more than 10,000 patients. He frequently lectures across the world and has also written a number of journal articles and books on the subject of surgical procedures. Jan is frequently called upon by the media to advise and consult on cosmetic surgery. Jan featured in the ground breaking Channel 5 series "Plastic Fantastic" and most recently has featured as the consultant surgeon in all six of the popular Channel 4 series "10 years Younger" Jan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), he is married and lives in Oxfordshire with his wife and 2 daughters.
