Biography: KEC Is Headed By Dr. Irfan Khatib And His Highly Efficient And Dedicated Team. With An Experience Of Over 25 Yrs In Private Practice, Dr. Irfan Is Attached As Honorary Ophthalmologist To Many Of The City’s Prominent Hospitals. Following The Footsteps Of His Illustrious Father, Dr. Z.K. Khatib, Dr Irfan Joined The Medical College In The Year 1977. He Completed His Undergraduate Medical Education (MBBS) From The Prestigious Topiwala National Medical College And BYL Nair Hospital In Mumbai. He Did His Subsequent Postgraduation, Masters In Surgery (M.S) From The Same College. He Also Completed His D.O.M.S. In Ophthalmology From The College Of Physicians And Surgeons , Mumbai. He Has Served As Resident Ophthalmologist For Three Years In Leading Hospitals In Mumbai. Dr. Irfan Khatib Started His Private Practice At KHATIB EYE CLINIC (KEC)As Consultant Ophthalmologist In The Year 1986. He Practice Flourished As It Echoed The Same Ethics, Dedication And Service To Humanity As Those Of His Father. Dr. Irfan Envisioned A Dream : That Of Placing Premium Eye Care Within Easy Reach Without Compromising Quality Or Technique. Since Then KEC Has Been Relentlessly Striving Towards The Realization Of This Dream. He Started His Own LASIK Centre Called PERFECT VISION LASER CENTRE (PVLC). Today KEC And PVLC Are Equipped With Latest Equipments, Comparable To The Best Hospitals The World Over. In The Course Of His Twenty Five Years In Practice, Dr Irfan Khatib Has Actively Participated In Various National And International Conferences Where He Has Presented Papers On Various Topics. He Is An Active Member Of The Bombay Ophthalmologist Association, The All India Ophthalmic Society, The Maharashtra Ophthalmologist Association And The American Society Of Cataract And Refractive Surgery Among Others. He Is Attached To Various Charitable Centres In Mumbai As Well As Rural Maharashtra.
