Biography: Dr. Manoj Babu R completed M.B.B.S from Medical College, Kottayam in 2000, MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from MKCG Medical College, Orissa in 2005 and DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2005. He has completed a 2-year Fellowship in Surgical Oncology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Kochi in 2008. He has done a 2 month External attachment at Birmingham Women’s Hospital, UK during his Fellowship. Another major academic achievement is his completion of Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology from Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, New York, USA in 2012. He has also completed training in Minimal Access & Robotic Surgery from Roswell Park during his 3 month tenure in USA. He is well-heeled with an experience of 9 years in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has been working as Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Kottayam Medical College for the past 5 years, where he has been taking care of full spectrum of Obstetric and Gynaecological cases besides numerous successful Gynaecologic Cancer Surgeries. During his fellowship and service at Medical College he had been routinely performing all complicated gynaecological surgeries like radical abdominal hysterectomy with pelvic lymphadenonectomy, Staging laparotomies for Ovarian and Endometrial Cancer and Radical vulvectomies and Colposcopies. Besides this he was performing laparoscopic surgeries and Hysteroscopic surgeries at Medical College and at various facilities in Cochin. He is also working as freelance Gyanec Onco Surgeon since 2009. He has also worked at Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences as Senior Lecturer in O&G. Dr. Manoj Babu is a recipient of the prestigious Shashikant Lele International Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology at Rosewell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, New York, USA. He has many publications in National & International journals and contributed 4 text-book chapters on Gynaecologic Oncology. He has many paper presentations at various national and international conferences. He is a Life member of Indian Medical Association, Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India, National Academy of Medical Sciences and the Association of Gynaecologic Oncologists of India (AGOI) He cleared MRCOG Part III ( UK) in 2016. He joins us with his immense career experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology .
