Biography: Neville is a former South African Airforce pilot who gave up flying in response to a call to Christian ministry and medical service. He qualified as an ordained Methodist minister and then a medical doctor and served as a mission doctor in Zululand, Africa for 3 years before undertaking a hospital appointment, further training, and several years in private family medical practice in South Africa. He is a graduate of Rhodes University, University of Cape Town Medical School, The College of Medicine, SA., Pretoria University Medical School and several Educational Institutions in medical and non-medical disciplines. He obtained the Advanced Trauma Life Support Certificate (ATLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) and is certified in Emergency Medicine (Pretoria University). He gave up practice in South Africa to work and study abroad and served as a GP/Surgeon in an Australian District Hospital and then spent a further 6 months in an Aboriginal Community Hospital in Queensland. He accepted a private appointment in Canada where he spent 5 years, during which time he served in the Medical Unit of the University of Manitoba as a Fly-in –Physician, flying to isolated communities in Northern Manitoba, Canada. There, living and working amongst the Cree and Ojibwa communities he gained invaluable insights into their culture, disease patterns and healing arts. Neville believes that the prevailing medical paradigm is severely limited by its singular focus on disease rather than on opportunities and the potential for creating health and wellness. He believes that the future of medicine lies in the field of Nutrigenomics which explores the science of nutritional regulation of genetic expression for health or disease. He is currently engaged in advanced studies in the field of Sports and Clinical Nutrition.
