About London Road Dental Practice
London Road Dental Practice ( ) are dentists based in central Chippenham, Wiltshire, located at 1A Blackcross, Chippenham, SN15 3LD.
Our Dentists aim to provide the best good quality predictable dental care in a relaxed environment for patients of all ages. We also receive referrals from practices in Chippenham, Calne, Melksham, Bath and Malmesbury for specialist treatments such as dental implants and gum treatments. We offer treatment privately and also on a monthly DPAS plan that allows better budgeting of costs. In addition, we have a very small NHS contract.
Patients that are nervous of dental treatment have found our friendly manner welcoming, putting everyone at ease. In addition, the surgery ceiling televisions with relaxing themes are a welcome distraction making the treatments seem to finish a lot quicker.
Our view is that we treat our patients as individuals (and as how we would like to be treated). Our findings and treatment options will be clearly explained in plain English to make it easier to understand.
Without this, we feel you are unable to make decisions that you are comfortable with and that are cost effective.
In addition to general dentistry, implants, periodontal (gum) treatment and sedation, we also offer a range of other cosmetic dental services such as tooth whitening and orthodontics. Our dental membership plan makes quality dentistry very affordable and easy to budget for with transparent costs.
We give a detailed treatment estimate and use high quality materials and products taking our time to produce lasting results. As a preventative practice, we allow patients from other practices to see our dental hygienists directly for their dental hygiene treatment under the direct access scheme.

Biography: BDS MFGDP DPDS MFDS MClinDent MRD MCGI FDS FCMIAmir graduated from Edinburgh University in 1992 and started his career as a general dental practitioner undergoing vocational training in Scotland. He joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1993 and had a varied and interesting career in the RAF within the UK and abroad. He became a Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK) in 1996 and expanded his general practice experience as a Senior Dental Officer running and managing several dental clinics.In addition to practice management, Dr Savage started specialist training at the Eastman Dental Institute in 2004 and successfully achieved the MClinDent in Periodontology in addition to the MRD from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2007. After the completion of specialist training he was appointed as Wing Commander and Clinical Director of the Military School of Dental Training training military dental nurses and hygienists. He strongly believes in team training and has also served as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and as a project supervisor for the University of Kent MSc in Primary Dental Care.In 2012 Dr Savage retired from the RAF went into independent practice. He currently accepts referrals for periodontal (gum) and implant treatments from local dentists in London and the South West.London Road Dental Practice is a new phase in his career and his plans are to expand and improve its current services (building on the hard work and excellent dentistry of Dr Catton-Taylor and Dr Wilson) to make it the best and first choice for dental care in Chippenham and its surrounds.Outside Dentistry, Amir Savage is passionate about sport and he was awarded the Edinburgh University blue for athletics after winning the national Scottish 400 meter junior championships.More recently! Amir also does salsa dancing and he keeps fit running, circuit/weight training and has completed the 2016 London Marathon.

Biography: BDS GDC: 73291 qualified in 1997 at the University of Sheffield and has 18 years of experience as a dentist; part of this was as a flying dentist in the outback of Australia! In Nigel’s spare time he enjoys cooking with his specialities being Indian food and bread making. He is new to the area and is looking forward to exploring the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
