Biography: Dr Wagdi Mattani is a general medical practitioner and ManorIVF's Operations Manager. Having previously filled a number of key medical management roles, Dr Mattani brings a wealth of experience. He plays a vital role in managing the company’s overall activities and is responsible for development of new services based on ManorIVF's strategic plan. He also oversees the successful day-to-day operations of the clinic. He is part of our Israel head office staff.

Jacob Farhi

Biography: Prof. Jacob Farhi received his MD from Tel Aviv University in 1987. He serves as a Professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Prof. Farhi is a senior physician with the IVF and Infertility Unit at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at Holon-based Wolfson Medical Centre and heads the fertility service in two women’s health centers of the largest health insurance providers in Israel. He has authored numerous publications in the field of infertility in leading scientific journals. Prof. Farhi’s research interests focus on the clinical aspects of ovulation induction, IVF and in-vitro maturation treatments and fertility preservation

Arik kahana

Biography: Arik Kahane has been specializing in obstetrics and gynecology since 1988 with infertility treatment and IVF being his sub-specialty. He is currently heading the Gynecology, Infertility and IVF Unit at Assuta Medical Center, Rishon LeZion. Dr. Kahane’s scope of work includes: Supervising laboratory tests and ultrasound examinations. Performing diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgery. Conducting pregnancy follow-up care (amniocentesis, gynecological surgeries). The Rishon LeZion-based Assuta Medical Center boasts one of the biggest IVF units in Israel, with more than 2000 cycles performed annually using state-of-the-art equipment and latest technology. Its highly-skilled and experienced laboratory staff and embryologists are credited with achieving impressive success rates. The unit is using advanced technologies such as: Micromanipulation (injection of the egg with a single sperm cell). Assisted hatching Freezing of sperm, eggs and embryos. Direct intra-testicular sperm aspiration in patients diagnosed with severe male infertility. Sperm and oocyte donation. Pavel Itsykson

Biography: Dr Pavel Itsykson, known as Pasha is the Chief Embryologist for ManorIVF, as well as the Head of Embryology for Assuta Medical Centre, the largest private IVF provider in Israel. Completing his doctorate at the University of Jerusalem, Pasha has a global reputation as a leader in the field of embryology, with over 15 years of experience in assisted reproductive technology (ART).  Pasha has vast experience in oocyte vitrification and warming, having been involved in hundreds and hundreds of egg donation treatments for patients from all over the world. His wealth of knowledge and experience is a credit to ManorIVF and allows us to continue to provide outstanding results to our patients.

Shlomi Barak

Biography: Dr Shlomi Barak is a gynaecologist, fertility and IVF specialist who is a highly regarded expert in the field of male infertility. An Israeli – Australian fellowship trained surgeon, Dr Barak is an active member in professional associations worldwide. His recent lectures, publications and book chapters can be found in his curriculum vitae. Dr. Barak graduated from the Technion Medical School in Israel with the highest honor (summa cum laude) and attended his specialist training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Bnai-Zion Hospital, Haifa, Israel. Throughout his undergraduate and postgraduate medical studies, Dr Barak was the recipient of numerous academic awards and scholarships. Prior to coming to Melbourne, Dr Barak worked in his private practice and at Bnai-Zion Hospital as a specialist consultant. Dr Barak came to Melbourne to further develop his clinical and research interests in the field of reproductive medicine, in particular Andrology and clinical management of male infertility. It was the unique opportunity to be mentored by leading world expert in this area , Professor Gordon Baker which attracted him to work here. Dr Barak is a fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG). Dr Barak holds a public appointment at Reproductive Services at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne where he is a consultant IVF and Andrology and male infertility specialist and is involved in the supervision of trainee obstetricians, gynaecologists and fertility specialists. Dr Barak has a strong background in research. Over the past 16 years he has been actively involved in both basic and clinical research in the area of reproductive medicine and has published widely in scientific and medical journals in this area. Dr Barak contributed to few high profile book titles in the area of male infertility. He regularly presents at national and international medical conferences.
