Biography: Op. Dr. Muhammet Erkan M.D. was born in 1973 in Hamzalı Village of Vakfikebir District of Trabzon. He completed his primary and secondary education in Vakfıkebir.He completed his high school education at Trabzon High School as a free boarder. He entered K.T.U. Faculty of Medicine in 1992 and graduated in 1998 as a medical doctor. After working as a general practitioner in Bayburt and Trabzon for a while, he started his specialty training in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Cumhuriyet University in 2003.In 2009, he completed his specialization thesis “Is arterial supercharging and venous super drainage necessary in perforator flaps? He completed his specialty training by preparing a hemodynamic study in a rat perforator-based abdominal flap model.After being appointed as a Plastic Surgery Specialist at Trabzon Kanuni Training and Research Hospital in 2009, he went to the military to do his military service. Dr. Erkan completed his military service as a reserve officer at Ankara Mevki Military Hospital.After completing his compulsory service, he resigned from the civil service as of April 2012, and Dr. Erkan started private practice by opening his own clinic in Trabzon. Dr. Muhammet Erkan still continues to work in his own clinic.Dr.Muhammet Erkan, is married to Anesthesiologist Gönül Erkan, has three children named Yavuz Selim, Aybike and Begüm Ela.
