Mexicali Bariatric Center has world-class surgeons specializing in Laparoscopic Bariatric Weight Loss Surgical Procedures such as: Gastric Sleeve (VSG), Gastric Bypass (RNY), Duodenal Switch (DS), SADI-S, Lap Band and Revision surgeries. We offer a wide range of Revisions such as converting lap band to gastric sleeves, bypass or DS; converting sleeves to bypass or DS; redoing ineffective sleeves; converting VBG or stomach stapling to bypass; revising ineffective DS, redoing gastric bypasses, among others.
Mexicali Bariatric Center has the experience of over 10 years of serving patients from all over the world primarily from the US, Canada and Mexico.
Academic achievements and training include:Dr. Rodolfo Wilhelmy: Member of the American College of surgeons, past president of the Mexican College of Surgeons and training surgeon in various laparoscopic procedures in the state of Baja California. Over 750 gastric sleeve surgeries successfully performed.
Dr Gilberto Ungson: Pioneer in Duodenal Switch surgery in Mexico, member of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity, past president of the Mexican College of Obesity and Metabolic Surgeries. Has performed over 1000 gastric sleeves, 450 DS surgeries , 200 revisions and 450 gastric bypass.
