Durante este período, fungió como investigador líder de proyectos de investigación en glaucoma, desarrollado en el mismo hospital.De igual manera, tomó el rol de director interino del departamento de glaucoma del hospital al final de su entrenamiento.Formó parte de una brigada médica internacional de cirugías oftalmológicas, llevada a cabo en conjunto con la Universidad de Monterrey, en Monterrey NL en 2015.
