Biography: PD Dr. Fakin is board certified plastic surgeon in Switzerland and Spain and associate professor (venia legendi) at The University of Zurich. He is founder of Ocean Clinic Madrid and Zurich. He specializes in aesthetic, reconstructive and secondary optimizing surgery. From 2000 onwards he attended medical schools in Vienna (Austria), Florence (Italy) and New Orleans (USA), subsequently receiving his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2006 from Medical University of Vienna. In 2010, he joined the Division of Plastic and Hand Surgery at The University Hospital Zurich. Since 2013, he has been a fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) and a consultant at the Division of Plastic Surgery at The University Hospital Zurich. Since 2014 Dr. Fakin has held a Swiss federal title in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FMH). He obtained his position as associate professor (PD) at The University of Zurich in 2018. Dr. Fakin has participated in numerous clinical fellowships, including Preecha Aesthetic Institute (PAI) and King Chulalongkorn University Hospital in Bangkok (Thailand), where he spent several months in 2015. Dr. Fakin has performed over 1000 procedures, eventually specializing in aesthetic surgery as well as reconstructive surgery including the gender reassignment. He has been invited to lecture at various international congresses as invited faculty and organized several international symposiums. Dr. Fakin is the author of numerous scientific peer-reviewed publications and book contributions. Throughout his career, he has been persistently committed to research and lecturing. He has participated in several surgical campaigns in Africa. In 2018, Dr. Fakin founded Ocean Clinic Madrid and Zurich and is fully registered plastic surgeon in Switzerland and Spain
