Biography: I am Dr. Dilek Guvenc, a highly experienced and well-qualified periodontist from Istanbul. I was attracted to dentistry from a very early age and have always been interested in aesthetics as well. It therefore came naturally to me, after completing my five-year degree in Dentistry at the University of Istanbul, to focus on periodontology for my doctorate. So, I opted to study an area related to generalized aggressive periodontitis and cardiovascular disease for my doctorate thesis. During my PhD, I also conducted a great deal of clinical research regarding periodontology, some of which was published in SCI indexed journals. I was also awarded a distinction for my dissertation. I completed my PhD thesis in Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry Department of Periodontology in 2010. Throughout my six years in the Periodontology department, I provided the advanced periodontal surgery, including muco-gingival and guided tissue regeneration procedures and implant treatment to patients of the university hospital. What is more, I taught undergraduate students, presented lectures and worked as a faculty instructor. I later went on to teach at Istanbul Aydın University and was made an associate professor in 2013. I left in order to focus on my private practice.

Biography: Special interest in cosmetic dentistry, restorations of implants and laser dentistry I dreamed of being a dentist since my visit to a dental clinic at the age of 6. So, I chose to become a dentist and graduated from one of the most prestigious dental schools in Turkey; Istanbul University Dental Faculty in 2005. I started my career with a valuable six months internship in a clinic where I could learn every aspect of aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry thanks to highly experienced and respected clinicians that I worked with. I have been applying one of the most important learnings from this internship: being patient centered.

Biography: Special interest in periodontics, implantology and laser dentistry I believe everyone can have a healthy, good looking and functional set of teeth and smile through a strong team play. In order to carry out my part of the partnership I have gone through a series of trainings before I could train other dentists. I studied dentistry in Istanbul and received my Master of Science degree for Lasers in Dentistry from Aachen University, Germany, which shaped a big portion of my professional life. I followed this up with my Ph.D. studies in periodontology at the University of Istanbul. My practice is limited to gum health and laser supported treatments for gum disease (aka periodontology) and different conditions and laser supported implantology. I have also been regularly teaching, training, mentoring and coaching dentists on laser dentistry both in the UK and internationally, for more than a decade.

Biography: Sedef gained her Diploma in Dental surgery and PhD in Orthodontics from Istanbul and Yeditepe Universities in 2012 and 2016 consecutively. In 2017 she moved to the UK and upon passing the Registration Exams she started to practice in London in addition to Istanbul. Sedef has split her time between working in prestigious private practices in Istanbul and central London, including ONCLINIC and continuing her professional development by attending numerous congress and seminars. She has several published scientific articles, is an editor for an Orthodontic Journal and currently she is one of the Board of Directors for Turkish Lingual Orthodontic Society.

Biography: Selcuk gained his Diploma in Dental Surgery and Phd in Oral Surgery from Istanbul University in 2000 and 2007. Selcuk gained his Diploma in Dental Surgery and Phd in Oral Surgery from Istanbul University in 2000 and 2007. He investigated the nitric oxide synthase and heat shock proteins in apical granulomas and odontogenic cysts for his thesis. After working in private dentistry for more than 10 years, in 2018 he moved to the UK upon passing the Overseas Registration Exams. He started practicing as a private dentist in London and other clinics in the UK. Selcuk has extensive knowledge and experience in difficult extractions, augmentations and Oral Implantology. Selcuk has a calming attitude with an ethical approach and he works well under stresful conditions. His specialty is mainly surgical such as complex wisdom teeth removal, implant surgery and augmentations. He is delighted to be part of the team at ONCLINIC with friendly staff and colleagues, using the high end equipment and bringing high quality treatments to his patients. He is married and has a little girl. He likes cycling in his spare time and reading books about modern history and spending time with his vinyl collection.

By studying dentistry and advancing in human biology she become more and more interested in the factors that makes us sick and ways to prevent them to live a fulfilled life.
