Dr Patrick Murphy

Biography: MD, FRCSC, FACS Otolaryngologist. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, and was raised in Ottawa, Ontario. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa Medical School in 1985. He and his family moved to Kingston, Ontario where he completed 3 years of residency training in general surgery at Queens University. He then returned to Ottawa to complete 3 years of residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of Ottawa. This was followed by a supplemental year of training in Minneapolis, Minnesota under the auspices of the University of Minnesota and The Minnesota Ear, Head and Neck Clinic.

Biography: Certified Laser Specialist. She has been working with Dr. Murphy since he opened his practice in Ottawa in 1992. She took 5 years off in the middle to work as the Prime Minister’s Photographer. She returned to work with Dr. Murphy in 2003 when they opened Murphy Laser, now PearlMedica. She was trained in San Francisco at Cutera’s Headquarters. As they upgraded hand pieces, trainers were sent to Ottawa to train both her and Dr. Murphy. Cutera training is second to none in the industry and Diana attends their user forums and keeps up-to-speed online with their webinars. Diana has also been to San Francisco to take the course so she can train others.
