Biography: Dr Cheng received her basic medical training from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. She went on to obtain the Master Degree of Medicine in Anaesthesiology from the National University of Singapore.Dr Cheng worked in the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in Penang General Hospital, Seberang Jaya Hospital and Johor Bahru Sultanah Aminah Hospital, before joining Penang Adventist Hospital.She also underwent a short term of training in paediatric cardiac anaesthesia while working at the Shanghai Childrens Medical Centre.Dr Cheng is fluent in Mandarin, English, Malay and Hokkien.
Dr Boo Boo Khoo

Biography: Dr. Khoo is one of our Consultant Anaesthesiologists. He had his basic school education at St. Xaviers, Penang, and then took up medical studies at the National University of Singapore. He started postgraduate training in Anaesthesia soon after graduation at his alma mater, obtaining his Masters in Medicine in 1987. Dr. Khoo then earned a diploma in anaesthesia in the United Kingdom and went on to receive a Fellowship in the Faculty of Anaesthetists from the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.Besides being a practicing anaesthesiologist, Dr. Khoo served as a Lecturer at University Hospital, University Malaya, for three years. He has had experience in teaching seminars, participated in various courses and attended conferences. Dr. Khoo has a special interest in anaesthesia during Cardiothoracic Surgery and also Obstetric Anaesthesia. Fluent in Malay, Hokkien and English, Dr Khoo is quickly able to put his clients at ease.
