About Physio Where You Are
Egginton in Derbyshire is the location of the offices of this mobile physiotherapy service. Fully qualified therapists who are registered with the health professions Council and their relevant professional bodies treat patients at the comfort and convenience of their homes or at their place of work. They also treat patients at gyms and at nursing homes and care homes. Mobile services are offered for patients in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, South Yorkshire, Rutland and the West Midlands. Conditions treated include stroke, multiple sclerosis, posture problems and co-ordination problems. Services provided include manual physiotherapy, massages and posture correction and advice.

Biography: Team Leader and founder of Physio Where You Arequalified as a physiotherapist in 1985 having trained at Nottingham. My first job was at Glenfield General Hospital in Leicester as well as at the Groby Road Hospital specialising in thoracic surgery. I later moved to Burton on Trent and that is where I began to develop an interest in neurology from 1987. This interest deepened as I moved to work at the specialist unit for neurological patients in Derby and I eventually became the specialist physiotherapist for neurology across both the Derby Royal Infirmary and the Derby City hospitals. In this capacity I carried the responsibility for developing and envisioning the neurological physiotherapy team and to a lesser extent, the occupational therapy services in these Derby Acute Hospitals. Having achieved my aim of creating a cohesive and skilled team in the Derby Acute Hospitals as well as creating working relationships and links with the Primary Care Trusts, I decided that it was time to create something new and exciting in the private community settingI, like the members of my team, am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy as well as being registered with the Health Professions Council. I am also a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Neurology (ACPIN) as well as belonging to the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practise.
