Dr Pierce

Biography: In addition to providing dental services at Riverbend Dental Centre, Dr Pierce also practices at Sutherland Dental Group. He is also a member of the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Pierce is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan and has been practicing dentistry since 1996. Dr. Pierce was born and raised in Saskatoon. He and his wife Tanya have two daughters. Dr. Pierce is very active and enjoys participating in triathlons, water skiing and playing hockey.

Dr Balakrishnan

Biography: In addition to her family dentistry practice, Dr. Balakrishnan is a part-time faculty member at the College of Dentistry. She is a member of the Saskatoon Dental Society, the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan, and the Canadian Dental Association. Along with practicing at Riverbend Dental, Saskatoon Dr. Balakrishnan graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry in 2013. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University.

Dr Dhir

Biography: He was born and raised in Saskatoon, the youngest of 3 children. Dr. Dhir attended the university of Saskatchewan for his undergrad, in sociology. In 2004 Dr. Atul Dhir was accepted to the college of dentistry at the university of Saskatchewan, convocation in 2008. Following obtaining his doctorate of dental medicine degree, Dr. Dhir was selected for a post graduate residency based out of Saskatoon's Royal University Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Dhir had the opportunity to observe and assist in maxillofacial surgeries, attending to the dental needs of medically compromised patients, manage acute dental trauma on call, provide dental care to special needs patients, and teach at the College of Dentistry, in addition to numerous other responsibilities. Currently, Dr. Dhir has the opportunity to teach as an associate clinical faculty at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Dentistry, in the department of periodontics. Dr. Dhir has been in private practice for 5 years following his post graduate residency.
