Biography: Richard qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1997, at which time he joined the Scott Arms Dental Practice. Since then he has enjoyed looking after the dental care of families and individuals, treating patients on an independent basis. Richard focuses on caring for his patients in the long term, placing their comfort and satisfaction above all else. He is one of the most experienced dentists at the practice, having received further post graduate training in diverse areas including cosmetic treatment, endodontics and sedation (particularly useful in the treatment of nervous patients).

Dr Nikki Gallagher

Biography: Nikki qualified from the University of Leeds in July 2009 and is the newest member of the Scott Arms Dental team. At Leeds University she was one of the top graduating dentists of the year, winning a prize for her achievements in Oral Medicine. She continued to show her prize winning credentials after delivering an ‘Audit on Decontamination in the Dental Surgery’, ensuring her surgery is always clean and healthy for every patient. Nikki is extremely warm, friendly and caring and immediately puts patients at ease with her down-to-earth nature. She enjoys all areas of dentistry, in particular treating anxious patients, children and families. She has a very keen interest in new and exciting areas of cosmetic dentistry. By treating every patient with respect and really focusing on their needs, Nikki aims to make every visit to the Dentist relaxing and enjoyable. She believes everyone has a right to a beautiful smile.

Biography: Debi qualified from The University of Birmingham in 2004. She completed post graduate vocational training in early 2006, for which she won prizes. Since graduating Debi has continued further to work towards post graduate training and in 2007 Debi completed her MFGDP qualification from the royal college of surgeons of England. Debi offers the full range of general dental treatments, with a strong emphasis on the treatment of anxious and nervous patients.

Biography: Emma qualified from Birmingham University in 2009 and has been working at Scott Arms Dental Practice for almost 2 years. She is Denplan Excel accredited. Emma is caring, down to earth and makes your visit enjoyable. She offers a full range of up to date treatment, including crowns, bridges, dentures, surgical procedures, cosmetic treatment and tooth whitening. Emma enjoys treating families and children and provides a full range of affordable family dentistry. Emma enjoys helping nervous patients feel at ease and gain confidence during their visit and also provides sedation for very anxious patients. She is a member of SAAD. Emma provides a high standard of care and makes sure you completely understand all aspects of your treatment so that together we can make the best decision for you.
Sharon Sedgwick

Biography: Sharon is a qualified Dental Nurse with 27 years experience and has gained further qualifications in Conscious Sedation and Oral Health. Sharon was also awarded National Vocational Assessor qualification in 2004. She has worked at the practice since 1994 taking the more recent role as Dr Philip Tangri’s personal assistant since 2004, supporting Dr Tangri in the day to day running of the practice.
Helen Matthews

Biography: Helen is a qualified Dental Nurse and is currently working towards the Dental Radiography qualification. She joined the practice in August 1996 as a trainee Dental Nurse and now works full time on reception. She has been the head receptionist alongside Jo Brandrick for 5 years, where we are both responsible for the day to day running of reception. Helen enjoys working in a busy practice she also enjoys being apart of a very friendly and enthusiastic team.

Biography: o first started her career at the Scott Arms Dental Practice in 1994, having qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1993. She further qualified in later years as a Radiographer, and attained certificates in both Oral Health Promotion and Dental Practice Management. Jo holds a senior role within the Reception team and enjoys the ‘one-to-one’ contact with patients. Over the years she considers many patients to be friends rather than customers.

Biography: Practice Manager - National Certificate NEBDSA 1987 (GDC no. 133393)Sarah is a qualified Dental Nurse and has attained the Certificate in Dental Practice Management. She has worked at the practice since 1984 and has been Practice Manager since 1994 when Dr Philip Tangri became the new practice owner. Sarah enjoys her role helping the practice to expand and continuously improving the services and facilities available. She ensures the team of staff and dentists keep up to date with current legislation and guidelines to provide the patients with high quality, affordable dentistry in a relaxed and friendly environment.
