Biography: BDS, FDSRCS (Eng & Edin), FDSRCPS (Glasg), DRD, MRD RCS (Edin) - GDC No 52076Arshad is Clinical Director of the Scottish Centre of Excellence for Dentistry. He established Niddrie Square Clinic in 2001 and it has become one of the leading dental centres in the United Kingdom.  Due to continued growth of the clinic, the need arose to move to the custom built Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry. Arshad qualified with commendation at the University of Glasgow in 1978 and carried out ten years of postgraduate training in Glasgow, Cardiff, London and Sweden. He was the first NHS Consultant in Restorative Dentistry in Wales and, until recently, was Consultant in Restorative Dentistry in Glasgow Dental Hospital and School.  He has been involved in implantology since 1985 and has continued to develop his expertise in this area. He was a winner of The Creative Circles Award at the 40th Anniversary Nobel Biocare World Conference in Las Vegas in 2005, the Crown and Bridge and Implant Award at the NobelBiocare World Tour Conference in London in September 2006, and the Senior Clinicians Award at the NobelBiocare World Conference in Las Vegas in 2007.

Biography: BDS, MFDSRCS(Edin), MSc (medsci)Abid graduated from the Glasgow Dental School before undertaking his diploma of membership of the faculty of dental surgery in Edinburgh and a masters degree at Glasgow University. He has trained with the best all over the world and limits his practice to implants and the management of complex restorative cases having placed over 1500 implants.Abid has a particular interest in immediate loading and is the first surgeon outside London to carry out the NobelGuide Teeth-in-a-Hour™. Abid has also recently been appointed as an advisor for the British Society of Implantology. He has also been appointed to the editorial board for the publication Implant Dentistry and is part of a worldwide multicenter working group researching aspects of implantology.

Biography:  BDS (UGlas) M.Sc (UGlas) Restorative Dentistry and EndodonticsMark graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1991. In 1998, he studied for a Masters degree in Dental Primary Care at the University of Glasgow and graduated in 2000.In the pursuit of providing the highest quality of dental care and on completion of his Masters degree he decided to move into private practice and now works exclusively in this sector.Mark has developed a Special Interest in Endodontics (root treatment) and continues to grow a successful referral base from dental practices throughout Scotland. All cases are treated routinely with the operating microscope and 3.5 times magnification. He is actively involved in continuing postgraduate education both nationally and internationally and is a member of the British Endodontic Society. He is actively involved in the teaching of endodontics to General Dental Practitioners.

Having visited and worked in several centres in the USA as well as India and China, he has developed a particular interest in head and neck malignancy and aesthetic facial surgery. He has presented many papers in these areas. Andrew is currently a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon at Monklands and The Southern General Hospitals as well as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow.
