We strive to carry out all treatment in-house with staff that the patient knows and who knows them."Trained at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, one of Europe’s leading medical universities, Dr Matseke moved to London in 1999 and worked in Harley Street before she became Principal Dentist and owner of SE1 Dental Centre in Kennington in 2006. She took over City Perio in 2008 and founded City Dental Centre in the same year.Monica herself specialises in Sports Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry and, together with her multi-talented team, she is able to offer all the services that most dental patients will ever need.

Biography: As City Dental Centres Practice Manager, Angela Nokes makes sure that the day-to-day operation of the practice runs smoothly. She provides an essential link between patients and the dental team and is someone that patients can turn to with queries or issues.Angela has worked within the dental environment for 20 years. What she likes most about her work is the interaction with patients and colleagues, and she especially enjoys looking after nervous patients.

Biography: Thomas Norlin would probably have been a vet today, had vet school not stopped their intake for some years. Instead, he became a dentist, and a talented and ambitious one at that (shame for the sick cows but lucky for his dental patients). “What I like most about my job is making people proud of their smile", says Thomas, who works as an in-house specialist at SE1 Dental Centre. He is a cosmetic dentist and implantologist, with special skills in bone regeneration and the creation of natural gum profiles around implants. Outside his clinical work, Thomas has been involved in the development and launch of a new product against halitosis (bad breath). "It removes bad breath almost 100% for 12 hours and it is available in four countries today. Hopefully it will be available in the UK in the next 12 months". A member of ADI (Association of Dental Implantology) and BACD (the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry), Thomas needs to attend various seminars and courses throughout the year. He also reads 10 pages on dental science each day, just to make sure he keeps up to date. "It may not sound much but it adds up to 3,650 pages per year, which is quite a lot of science." When he’s not working, Thomas likes to ski and, when in the right mood, he is an excellent chef.
