About South Dublin Dental

South Dublin Dental is a dental practice located just off the N11 in Booterstown with ample parking directly outside. We specialise in treating toothache (root canal treatment / Endodontics) and the replacement of missing teeth or those with a poor prognosis (dental implants). We also provide general dental services and a full dental hygiene service. The practice is fully digital and accepts PRSI and private patients. We are open from 8am every morning during the week.

Biography: Alec grew up in Ballsbridge. He studied dentistry at Cardiff University where he won the prizes for best clinical cases and the prize for best final year project which was based on oral cancer research.Alec has a keen interest in all aspects of dentistry and regularly attends courses both in Ireland and abroad to keep his skills and knowledge base up to date. A lot of the work Alec carries out is cosmetic in nature, restoring people's smiles with orthodontics/bonding/veneers and implants. He would be happy to discuss all these options with you at a consultation. However, Alec's main focus in dentisty is dental implants. He completed his diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (Dip Imp Dent RCSEd) where he is also a member of the faculty (MFDS RCSEd). Alec is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Biography: Hannah was born and raised in Cardiff, where she attended school and studied dentistry.Hannah worked in Wales for 5 years and in a Dublin city centre practice 3 years before joining Alec at South Dublin Dental in 2014.Hannah has an interest in all aspects of Dentistry but especially root canals. She has obtained a Masters in Root Canals (MSc Clinical Endodontics) from her home country at the University of South Wales. Hannah mainly works in the provision of root canal treatment to her patients in her clinical practice now. Along with Alec, Hannah has also been admitted her as a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd).
