About South Lane Dental
At South Lane Dental in Clanfield, Hampshire, we aim to improve and maintain our patients’ dental health and functionality whilst enhancing and creating natural smiles which will boost self-confidence.

Both the patient lounge and treatment areas are air conditioned, with a range of refreshments and regularly updated reading material provided.
The treatment room is equipped with an iPod with an extensive range of music. The practice is decorated to provide a calming ambience, and our highly trained staff will put at ease any anxieties you may have.
If you are a nervous patient then talk to the team, they are here to alleviate your worries, and often talking through your fears will make you feel more relaxed. It is important that you can talk to your dentist openly and comfortably.
A full explanation of the procedures involved, something as simple as your dentist explaining how the procedure will be carried out step-by-step, with no technical jargon, or giving you the opportunity to ask questions, will relieve that fear of the unknown.
Try to be open and honest with your dentist if you feel embarrassed about the condition of your teeth or your lack of previous dental care.
We will tell you of any treatment needed in advance and provide you with a quote. Where possible we will provide you with information and costing of all treatment options available.
Once you have met the team, and received your estimate and treatment plan, we can then discuss the payment options available.
The practice is fitted with the latest sterilisation equipment to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
All team members are fully immunised and attend regular courses on cross-infection control. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask and a member of the team will explain our detailed protocol.

Biography: My philosophy is to ensure that you as a patient are informed and in control about every aspect of your treatment. It is essential to have a trusting relationship so you can be confident in not only your dentist and team, but in your smile. After qualifying from the University of Dundee dental school in 1978, I joined Northampton’s Community Dental Service working with children, people with disabilities and those with extreme dental phobia, expanding my skills within paediatric dentistry and the anxious patient.

Biography: I qualified as a dental nurse in 1996 and then went on to qualify as a dental hygienist from Bristol Dental Hospital in 2004, within the same year I started working at South Lane. I constantly attend courses to keep up to date with new techniques and to refresh my skills. Being a hygienist allows me to work directly with you to help improve your dental health and ultimately giving you greater confidence in your smile.
