Biography: She is California’s elite Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. She is one of the only female Korean-American Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in Southern California, who is double Board certified in both Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery - and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the United States with her family when she was 10 years old. Dr. Park grew up in Los Angeles and attended UC Berkeley. She received her bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, a minor in music, as well as a master's degree in Public Health (MPH). She received her Medical Degree (MD) from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her residency in Head and Neck Surgery at Penn State University, and was trusted to serve as Chief Resident. Driven by her passion for the face, Dr. Park won a prestigious fellowship to study under one of the foremost authorities on Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Fred Stucker, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She gives great importance in giving back to the local Korean community. She regularly travels to South Korea to collaborate with other medical professionals, and to speak publicly on groundbreaking surgical techniques. She is an advocate for domestic violence PREVENTION, and donates her time and services to FACE TO FACE: The National Domestic Violence Project. To learn more about this organization. In addition, Dr. Park has travelled to the Philippines for a medical missions trip where she performed numerous cleft lip and palate surgeries. It was one of the most rewarding accomplishments for Dr. Park and as such, she hopes to return in the near future. Dr. Park is an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and speaks regularly at the annual meetings. In her free time, Dr. Park’s passions include music, tennis, and searching for new ways to eat and live healthy.
