Dr Jeff Foster

Biography: Before studying medicine, Dr Foster completed an honours degree in Physiology at Kings College London. This gained him a firm grounding in the basic understanding of how the body works. Having trained and worked in the Warwickshire area since 2004, he has completed trainee periods as a junior doctor in virtually every speciality in medicine. He has taken this vast experience and now works primarily as a GP Principal at Croft Medical in Leamington Spa. In addition to his core general practice work, Dr Foster has also gained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and works as a staff grade doctor in the Accident and Emergency department at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire. His hospital work allows Dr Foster to keep up to date with current treatments and guidelines. It provides invaluable experience in the management of acute illnesses in both adults and children, and by continuing to work in the hospital, Dr Foster has helped cement the relationship he has between hospital specialities and general practice. In terms of non-clinical work, Dr Foster is also a GP appraiser, and is Regional Appraisal Lead for Cross City and Sandwell. This job involves assessing the safety and professionalism of several hundred other GPs, which contributes to their re-certification and ability to practice.

Biography: MB ChB, DRCOG, MRCGP, MFSEM(UK), DipSEM He has worked as a partner at his current GP practice since 2003. He is used to providing a comprehensive and tailored service to his patients. He is a trainer of both under-graduate and post-graduate doctors working with the West Midlands Deanery and Imperial College London.

Biography: MBBS, BSc He qualified from UCL Medical School in 1995. He then undertook his hospital training on the North Staffs vocational training scheme and gained experience in a wide range of hospital specialities including paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, dermatology and emergency medicine, before completing his general practice qualifications in 2000. He then gained valuable experience working in a number of different rural, town and inner city practices over the next 3 years. During this time he also gained some valuable exposure to travel medicine whilst working as a voluntary GP on organized tours whilst travelling around Africa.
