COMMUNITY CARE PROGRAMME FOR CHILDREN:

To promote dental prevention, we provide a free annual checkup and free professional topical fluoride (fluoride gel and tray) for all children in Hong Kong between ages 5-17 yrs. to personally ensure good teeth in the modern age for the next generation.

Topical fluoride: the earlier children are exposed to fluoride, the less likely they are to develop cavities. A large study found that children and adolescents who received fluoride treatments once a year were 43% less likely to have tooth decay and cavities.

The fluoride is applied to the teeth and sticks to the teeth for a period of 4-6 hours so that, during this time the fluoride will have been absorbed into the teeth enamel and potentially offer permanent protection; applied

once-a-year, or at least once in a life-time is already beneficial. Dental prevention is a fundamental basic discipline for good teeth and enhances the quality of life, and longevity.

Dr. Benjamin Lee BDS (London University) attended a British boarding school (Bloxham School) in Banbury, Oxfordshire (OX15-4PE), England, for 5 years from the early age of 13 years, and because Oxford and Cambridge Universities do not have any Dental Faculties, he went down to London to attend the Royal London Hospital (E1-2AD) at the University of London to study Dentistry. The London Hospital Medical College (later Royal London Hospital) was founded in 1785. It was the first medical college in England and Wales.

You have only 1-set of adult teeth, damages are almost always irreversible since nothing grows back;

“Prevention is better than the Cure”.

The prime focus is on proper prevention (checkups, cleaning, topical fluoride, sealants, braces) so that no repair treatments are ever needed.

Avoid redemption treatments (cavities, gum disease, root canals, crowns, extractions, dental implants).
