Biography: Lynn is Director of Cosmedical Ltd and an experienced practitioner of aesthetic services in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and the North East. She is the Aesthetic Practitioner and Co Director of The Retreat. She appreciates that while many of you will already be familiar with her through her work within the salon over the last 14 years through Cosmedical Ltd, others may like to know a bit more about her. Lynn Warren RGN RM INP: I qualified as a registered general nurse in 1984, working in general surgery and then cardiac care before moving to Leeds to train as a midwife where I practiced at the leading teaching hospitals of St James and Leeds General Infirmary before taking up a Sr’s post at Harrogate Trust Hospital. Whilst I was at Harrogate I was ‘headhunted’ by one of my patients to work in medical sales and in 1997 I was again approached to work for Transform Medical Group as their Nurse Specialist (the largest independent cosmetic surgery group in Europe). As my career progressed and the demands for aesthetic services expanded I followed my desire for further knowledge and expertise by undergoing professional development and training with the surgeons at Transform Medical Group and the leading manufacturers at the time: Collagen Corporation, Allergan and Qmed . Training included all aspects of medical aesthetics: [Treatment name removed] ® therapy, dermal fillers, chemical peels, acne therapies, medical grade skin care and laser treatments. In the late 1990s the demand for non-surgical facial enhancement began to grow and it became evident to me that there was a very limited service within the community. I saw the need to bridge the gap between the surgeons’ domain and that of the beautician’s couch and felt it was possible to offer a more accessible, slightly less clinical service at more reasonable prices. Thus, in 1998, I set up my mobile aesthetic business: Cosmedical Ltd. Cosmedical Ltd has been successfully trading ever since with clinic locations throughout the UK. In the last five years I have completed my Medical Prescribing Qualification (the legal requirement to prescribe [Treatment name removed] ®), working closely with Drs Kay Baxter and Alison Layton (Consultant Dermatologist at Harrogate Trust Hospital), and been involved in clinical trial work with product development within the industry. I have attended (by invitation only) the world anti-ageing conferences in Nice/Monaco on three occasions, to work alongside and learn from the world’s leading experts in the field of aesthetics as well as several times a year attending UK-organised further professional and product development. Within the industry I am recognised for my professionalism, extremely high standards, and my practice philosophy of ‘improve’ and not change’. I am registered with the UKCC governing body for nurses and the Royal College of Nurses and I am an active member of the award-winning Forum of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses.

Biography: Hi my name is Caroline Jones and I have been working in the beauty business for 30 years now in various roles. I qualified at the Lillian Maund School of Beauty in Cheshire in 1982 with Beauty, Body Therapy & Electrolysis CIBTAC ,I.A and ITEC examinations. Plus the International C.I D.E.S.C.O examination recognised all over the world. I was lucky to work for Lillian Maund for 7 years gaining teaching qualifications in Stage & Character makeup,managing the In Salon Training for the students and travelling overseas exhibiting in Europe and the far East. I was an appointed examiner and travelled nationally and Internationally to examine students for “ International Aestheticiennes”. I was then approached to import and distribute a French Skin care brand into the UK this allowed me to travel alot and meet beauty therapists in salon and colleges all over the Uk. In 1998 I was asked to judge for “The Professional Beauty awards” which celebrated the work of excellent therapists in the UK and Ireland. I want to bring my knowledge and experience in all these aspects to provide the highest levels of customer care within our salon. My passion has always been specialised facials for all skins but especially Anti Age treatments and I am really loving using the Decleor range aswell as expanding my knowledge on new and ground breaking treatments. I enjoy Waxing and now do Intimate Waxing using the superior French hot wax system Perron Rigot. We are also using Eva Garden the Italian makeup range which allows us to expand and offer packages for brides , hen parties and Make up lessons. I am client focused and look forward to the challenge of seeing the success of “The Retreat” to be the best Beauty Salon in the area.
