Biography: Graduate of the University of Texas, Dr. Kristi Sumpter earned her medical degree from the University of North Texas in Fort Worth. She completed a general surgery residency, which included trauma, critical care, laparoscopy and endoscopy, at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dr. Sumpter underwent additional surgical training at the Detroit Medical Center, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Saginaw General Hospital in Michigan, and the University Medical Center in Las Vegas in the areas of pediatric surgery, melanoma/sarcoma/endocrine surgery, gynecology/oncology, and trauma respectively. She also served as a clinical instructor at Michigan State University.Dr. Sumpter is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. Dr. Sumpter is Board Certified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and also by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. She is a Diplomate of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. She has full cosmetic surgery and general surgery privileges at Willowbrook Methodist Hospital and Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center, and at Cy Fair Surgery Center, a certified ambulatory surgery center.

She is a graduate of Cy-Fair College and is certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a licensed massage therapist. "Working with this practice allows me to use my passion for working with my hands, which I find fulfilling," she says. "I am fully dedicated to providing the best care to patients and providing outstanding service and satisfaction."
